As a Research Information Administrator you will work with researchers across the University to facilitate open research. You will support compliance with research funder open access and data sharing requirements, and Research Excellence Framework exercise requirements. Furthermore, you will oversee administration of research outcomes reporting to funders to demonstrate compliance with these requirements.

As Senior Research Nurse you will play a key role in the successfully delivery of our commercial clinical research epilepsy portfolio. You will provide specialist skills & knowledge to coordinate & manage the commercial epilepsy clinical trials portfolio & be responsible for the production of high quality research. Since we are still a small research delivery team, your work will be focused on recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities, & reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance & local Trust policies for research.

You will work alongside, & be supported by a hardworking & motivated team of Epilepsy Consultants, clinical nurses & a Senior Clinical Project Manager. Some knowledge of epilepsy is useful but not essential. The role does not involve any line management responsibilities currently but you will manage a team of research nurses as the research delivery team expands.

The ability to work autonomously but in collaboration with others is essential. Strong communication & organisational skills are also essential. A flexible proactive working approach is a key element to this role. The post is a fixed term 12 month contract. The post is renewable contingent on the ongoing delivery of the commercial clinical trials portfolio to time & target.

Applications are invited for a Research Associate or Nurse at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, working under the supervision of Professor Huw Morris. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary research team and will contribute to the continued success of three research projects into Parkinson’s disease and Atypical Parkinsonism Syndromes.

The position is split across two locations: the Royal Free London and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). The post holder will play an important role in recruitment, liaising with participants and the organisation of study logistics, administration of neuropsychological tests and assisting in the collection patient blood and spinal fluid samples.

The post is available immediately and is funded by the NIHR clinical research network for 12 months in the first instance.

This post offers a good opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate aiming to secure a higher surgical training post in Otolaryngology. The post is whole time, and operates a first on-call for ENT on a shared rota with General Surgery/vascular/urology (nights only). The post has dedicated research sessions, and delivers the perfect opportunity to develop your portfolio and to gain clinical experience in Otolaryngology without compromising application to national selection. The research, and audit aspects of this post should provide ample opportunity for publication, and presentation. You will be working with guidance from Consultants, and team members with broad experience, and specific research interests. The clinical element of the post constitutes joining the Core Surgical Training (CST) tier of trainees in contributing to the clinical workload, including the daily ward round and emergency clinics. The post offers opportunities to develop experience in all aspects of the specialty in a well-supported and closely supervised environment. The department has an established, Otorhinolaryngology service with other comprehensive subspecialised constituents, including being the MDT host and local centre for Head and Neck Cancer Surgery across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire region, Childrens ENT, Rhinology and endoscopic sinus surgery with balloon sinoplasty, and Otology and skull-base with a full implant service, including cochlear, and middle ear implants.
