Pros: The engineering team here is fantastic, really a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. I've learned a lot about cloud technologies and agile methodologies during my tenure. Management is becoming more engaged, and there are noticeable efforts to improve team dynamics and project execution. The flexibility of remote work has been a huge plus.
Cons: While leadership is more visible now, there's sometimes a disconnect between strategic goals communicated top-down and the day-to-day realities faced by development teams. Project prioritization can shift unexpectedly, making it hard to plan long-term. Better transparency around major company decisions would be beneficial.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster transparency and provide clearer roadmaps for strategic initiatives. Ensuring that all levels of leadership are aligned and can communicate these plans effectively to the teams doing the work will go a long way.
