Purpose

The Director, Legal Counsel will be responsible to support the regional growth of Radisson Hotel Group in Southeast Asia Pacific and protect its legal interests by (i) overseeing and facilitating the negotiation and administration of management, franchise, operating and other contracts and agreements; and (ii) managing and resolving legal issues arising operationally, as appropriate and consistent with the company’s policies.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Litigation/dispute management; assisting in coordinating response and settlement of legal disputes (e.g., debt recovery, breach of contract, court litigation, arbitration) including, when appropriate, the selection and supervision of external counsel.
• Supervise and handle corporate regulatory matters of subsidiaries, including establishment of local entities, coordinating board meetings and shareholders’ meetings, while ensuring statutory compliance with relevant company laws.
• Coordinate with RHG Legal departments in APAC, EMEA and at the global level, as well as external legal / secretarial consultants for legal / secretarial matters.
• Assist RHG Legal, risk management and internal audit teams in implementing policies, procedures and best business practices and ensure understanding and compliance by relevant departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master of laws from a reputable university.
• Admitted to practice in one or more jurisdictions (including from a common law jurisdiction).

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role oversees group accounting activities for corporate office and subsidiaries. • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations; adopt new accounting standards where necessary.
• Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; update Finance Policy and Operating Manuals to assure relevance and accuracy.
• Manage group audits, consolidation, corporate reporting in an IFRS compliant environment, and auditor’s relationship

• Ensure Internal Audit points are addressed and implemented.

• About 10 years of relevant working experience (preferably at middle-management level) in partnerships management, customer engagement (B2B or B2C), business development, sales or marketing-related organisation, with proven track record of building strong customer and stakeholder relationships at various levels.
• About 3 years of experience in managing teams, and proven record in guiding them to execute mid to large scale programmes and initiatives.
• Good leadership and teamwork to engage, motivate and work with team members.
• Relevant hands-on operational leadership experience in project and team management.

Your new role
As an Associate Director within the Corporate Tax team, you will be a key part of a high performing tax compliance and advisory team. You will have the opportunity to work on your very own client portfolio and deliver premium tax compliance services while adding technically accurate, clear, and concise tax advice on a range of issues (which can include international expansion, transfer pricing, and R&D tax relief to name a few). For this role, the client is looking for ACA and/or CTA qualified candidates, with demonstrable experience of a client/customer facing role within corporate tax compliance. The ideal candidate will also possess tax advisory experience in technical matters, as well as experience in client handling and business development. Previous experience of working at management level (or similar) will also be necessary.

Job Description:

As lead of the DxD Hub's Corporate Planning team:

1. Develop and align strategies to economic and national agenda (e.g. DxD Hub 2.0 in RIE2025 strategy), including strengthening linkages with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. MOH, clinical clusters in setting up satellite programmes).
2. Translate overarching DxD Hub's strategies into an action plan, coordinating across public sector and internal stakeholders and entities to achieve Enterprise's desired outcomes.
3. Set, monitor and report performance and tracking indicators for DxD Hub in alignment with Enterprise and its operating units and in partnership with finance for financial targets.
4. Establish and maintain corporate branding and public awareness of DxD Hub.
5. Perform Divisional reporting and communications functions with stakeholders within A*STAR, governing and advisory boards, as well as other public agencies in the ecosystem.
6. Review internal operational processes for possible improvements, in alignment with Enterprise and A*STAR best practices.
7. Build capabilities of service platforms & drive realization of business outcome.
8. Hires, motivates, develops, and retains key talent.
9. Develop and deliver accurate reports of operational metrics to the COO and CEO. Deliver monthly operation reports.

Requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor Degree. Additional credentials in Science/Engineering would be an advantage.

Work Experience: More than 6 years working experience. Relevant working experience in strategic and/or corporate planning, would be an advantage.

Technical Skills: Possess strong strategic and analytical thinking skills. Able to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues and manage them appropriately.

Soft Skills: Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Able to work in a team and guide the team to achieve their tasks. Able to work outside of organizational boundaries to engage external stakeholders as necessary.

Abilities / Aptitudes: Able to deliver results under tight timelines. Pro-active, quality conscious and results oriented.
