Procurement Manager & Sales Support Specialist

Job Description:

1. Execute purchase orders and contracts, and implement purchase procedures
2. Strong knowledge and skills price negotiation, planning and order process
3. Implement and improve the cost reduction and control plan
4. Develop, assess, and manage suppliers, and maintain their relationships
5. Fill in the relevant procurement form, and prepare the procurement analysis (supplier market dynamics and risks etc) and summary report
6. Familiar with raw materials procurement in flavour or food ingredient industry
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives
8. Prepare in-depth analysis in support of sourcing strategy development

Requirement

1. Degree in international trade, fine chemistry or related fields
2. 3 years + of experience in raw material procurement (chemical/flavour/food ingredient) and foreign trade related work, familiar with general custom clearance procedures
3. Experience and knowledge in strategic buying
4. Familiar with the import and export operation process, and the policies of the customs inspection
5. Must be familiar with import operations such as bonded warehouse and general trade procedure
6. Work proactively & open minded and willing to learn new skill set
7. Good communication skill to persuade and influence both internal and external stakeholders

A Day in the Life

• Build long-term contractual agreements and relationships with clients and strategic partners.
• Develop and foster Account Based Marketing approach to leverage cross-functional synergy.
• Support and coaching SAM stakeholders to identify pipeline optimization and growth opportunity.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience from medical device/healthcare industry or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience

At EDDC, our goal is to discover and develop novel therapeutics by working collaboratively with public sector and industry partners. EDDC now has an opening and is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced leader for the Computational Sciences group. The successful candidate will be leading the computational biology and information system groups and providing strategic guidance to the discovery leadership teams and the EDDC management team in leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to accelerate the drug discovery and development processes, including novel target identification.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of software engineers, data engineers, computational biology, bioinformatic, IT professionals, and data scientists to support and contribute to all the discovery projects.
• Drive the implementation of cross-functional data integration & workflow automation aimed at fostering data-driven and AI-driven approaches to drug discovery and validation.
• Lead strategic planning and execution of artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) initiatives, with a focus to support AI-augmented drug design and development, addressing “undruggable’ targets, and expediting processes.
• Cultivate and sustain robust collaborative relationships with various functions within the Discovery unit and across relevant divisions within EDDC.
• Establish, lead and actively contribute to key partnerships with academic and industrial entities within Singapore or globally to enable the smooth access of patient-derived data, support the novel target discovery and evaluation efforts.
• Oversee all IT operation infrastructure, propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software.
• Manage all technology systems and applications to support EDDC's goals and objectives

Requirements:

• A Ph.D. in computer science, data sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields.
• An MBA is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in the pharma/biotech industry, with a strong background in the application of computational biology and AI/ML to research, translational and clinical programs.
• Domain knowledge in at least one therapeutic area such as oncology, immunology, and inflammation.
• Proven track record of developing and launching industry-grade computational biology software platforms, with demonstrated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and pipeline impact.
• Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform and relevant certifications is preferred.
• Excellent executive communication, collaboration and leadership skills are essential.
• Sound working knowledge of IT operation, systems, and developments.

A key member of the Procurement team and responsible for purchasing activities and ensure that purchased products are both cost-efficient and of high quality that meets the organization's standards.

Job Scope:

• Prepare and monitor long-term and short-term inventory and procurement planning through the purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation and PO follow-up
• Negotiates and coordinates with suppliers and cross functional teams for best possible price purchases
• Coordinates with other departments internally, on stock availability and delivery schedules and to maintain tight inventory control
• Liaise with suppliers for shipment collection
• Responsible to source for New Suppliers or Vendors and manage cost saving & cost reduction initiative; in both Local and Overseas.
• Access the order requirement & release Purchase Orders according to workflow
• Responsible to build rapport and maintain excellent business relationships with existing Local and Overseas suppliers
• Conduct regular meetings with Key Suppliers to review and improve performance and improve on key performance indicators
• Monitor supply market conditions to ensure sustainable supply and achieve competitive costing
• Responsible to update and maintain documentation for audit and ISO purposes
• To liaise with Finance and suppliers on payment issues
• Any adhoc duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Business / Supply Chain
• At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in procurement/purchasing for the Food/Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry will be preferred
• Well verse in Microsoft office application
• Good administrative and problem-solving skills
• Team player who is driven and self-motivated with attention to detail and strong numeracy
• Excellent negotiations communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
