About the Power Generation & Energy – Senior Technical Consultant role:

In this consultative heavy role, you will be assigned to project teams to provide strategic, unbiased and objective advisory services to clients to assist them in solving issues, creating value, maximizing growth and improving business performance. You will also be responsible for contributing to and working on internal projects focused on the ‘Worley Consulting Way’.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on key responsibilities in an assignment under tight deadlines.
• Draft written communication including reports, presentations, contractual letters and project plans.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and solve them without experiencing any stress. Experience in conceptual design of Power and electrical engineering systems and equipment’s is needed.
• Interview the client's employees, management team and other stakeholders as required for the assignments.
• Performa data/risk/business/financial analysis and integrate large volumes of data from various sources to create reports.
• Participate and contribute to client meetings.
• Produce plans and budgets relating to assignment management.
• Plan and manage some elements of an assignment - plan, time, cost, outcomes etc.
• Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.

Key Skills and Competencies :

• Experience in the field of power generation design, techno-commercial evaluation of bids, proposals, tender submissions, Lender technical advisory role for project financial close as well project finance.
• Experience in Project execution in the field of power generation using gas to power, biomass fuels, renewables (wind / Solar / Waste to Energy), coal and for co-generation.
• Experience in supporting the development of Power Projects (Gas to Power, Coal, Biomass, Waste to Energy, solar and Geothermal), Lenders Technical Advisory Role with Banks for the successful completion of project financial close is preferred.
• Experience in Thermoflow modelling (for Mechanical) or Static and Dynamic Power System study (for Electrical) for grid connections is highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting technical design review with EPC Contractor for the implementation of power generation projects in Coal, Gas to Power, biomass, renewables (Wind / Solar / Waste to Energy) energy sector.
• Technical Support to project manager tender evaluation phase, subsequent negotiation phase as well as the project implementation phase on site including erection and commissioning.
• Experience in electrical equipment sizing and preparation technical specification for the various electrical equipment involved in the project.
• Experience in dealing with Chinese EPC contractor is preferable.
• Demonstrated flexible and adaptable approach and able to operate in different ways in different situations.
• Strong research and organization skills and ability to work independently and think critically.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 to 12 years of experience in Consulting, and/or EPC Contractor in reputed international organization
• Candidates with a double degree in engineering or experience with Renewable Energy projects will be looked favorably.
• Experience in providing project and business solutions to clients in the infrastructure and resources sectors highly preferable.

Position Summary:

• Responsible to work as Principal Electrical Designer

Responsibilities:

• The Principal Electrical Designer shall assist the Lead Engineer/Engineer on the design of drawings, basic calculations, and material take-off and ensure timely execution of deliverables
• Should conversant with PDMS/E3D/PDS/Smart3D. Working knowledge in Smart Plant Electrical will be an added advantage
• The Principal Electrical Designer can develop SLDs, control schemes & wiring diagrams
• Can perform layout design and drafting of cable tray/power/grounding/lighting /lightning protection layouts in AutoCAD/Microstation
• Able to perform basic calculation like cable sizing and lighting. earthing calculations
• Coordination with other discipline drawings and clash checking verification and collection of inputs from site, coordination with site supervisor for verification of site installation of cable routing, lighting and grounding
• Adherence to Quality Management System and mainteance of all squad check drawings / deliverable check lists / check prints
• The Principal Electrical Designer is expected to perform the duties of in a large/medium sized projects

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum experience: 15 years' experience in electrical design in design consultancy firm or in engineering department of process industry firm.
• Familiarity with both international and local codes & standards is required

Primary objective:

• To undertake Process engineering design work in with true regard to Safety both in design detail and engineering design execution
• To carry out design work in compliance with the national, state and client asset Codes & Standards under direction from the Lead Process Engineer
• To engineer all design work in line with the Process QA manual and Worley’s procedures.
• To be innovative in design work with due regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity
• To undertake all work within the estimated man hour budget and within schedule
• To assist in the recruitment and development of Process & Graduate Process engineers.
• To keep all Process documentation in a state of readiness for Audit purposes.

Specific Accountabilities:

• To provide definition of the Process engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the Lead Process Engineer
• To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary
• Prior to commencement of any Process work , a Process scope of work (SoW) must be written and agreed with the Lead Process Engineer (or designated representative). The Process SoW must clearly state the workscope, manhour budget and schedule to complete the work.
• Estimate Process manhours for any job using the current TW Process manhour norms
• Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
• Supervision of technical detail, budget and schedule of Process design in Project work where requested by the Lead Process Engineer
• Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner
• Where requested to undertake Process focal point duties
• To plan manhour budgets and schedules for all Projects within the focal point area of responsibility.
• To manage all resources allocated to the focal point area of responsibility (both technically and by discipline specific project controls)
• To liaise with the equivalent client focal point on technical and engineering matters on a regular basis
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) or equivalent
• More than 10 years process engineering experience in design/operations support related to the oil & gas production and processing industries, with at least 4 years in conceptual, FEED and detailed design in the Oil & Gas Industry.
• Computer skills particularly of process simulation packages such as HYSYS and PRO/11 and in commercial software including databases, spreadsheets and word processing packages
• Experience in the development of process flow diagrams, heat and mass balances and piping and instrument diagrams, and in sizing and specification of equipment including separators, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and dehydration and sweetening units
• A good working knowledge of the codes and standards relating to the oil and gas industry particularly the API recommended practices and ASME/ANSI pipe and pressure vessel codes.
• Good report writing skills.

About the Role:

Responsible for Refinery/Chemicals/Petrochemicals/Oil&Gas Industries in the Field of Instrumentation & Control System design of greenfield/revamp/retrofit/Brownfield for Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Engineering phase of Portfolio, Small, Medium & Large projects.

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

• Prepare & issue Instrument Basis of Design, Project Specification for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS and PLC systems and Instrumentation required for Packaged Equipment’s
• Prepare, Review and approve Instrument data sheets such as Control valve, On-Off Valves, Safety Relief Valves & other field instruments etc. Verify the calculations for the orifice plate bore, Control Valve Cv, and PSV’s, etc.
• Prepare, Review & approve Cause & Effect diagram and Logic diagrams. Review and approve all the vendor documents for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS, PLC systems, Instruments and also for Mechanical Packaged equipment’s.
• Prepare and issue Material / Technical Requisition for all instruments, carry out Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Documents Review & approval.
• Review and approve instrument Index, DCS/SIS/FGS/MMS/PLC I/O Lists.
• Cable schedule, Interconnection wiring drawings, Termination drawings, Junction box schedule, Instrument Hook-up drawings, Material Take off.
• Prepare & issue Specification for Instrument cables, Junction boxes, Instrument Installation scope. Review and approve Block diagrams, Control / Rack room layout, Cable route, instrument location plan, Loop drawings.
• Review of P&ID’s, Isometric drawings and 3-D modelling.
• Work Experience in both Green Field & Brown Field Projects
• Ensure to adherence of Quality Management System, establish and follow Worley QA plans.

Qualifications - Internal

• Bachelor or Master Engineering degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Technology
• 20-25 years design experience in Petrochemical/Chemical/Oil & Gas industry
• Familiar with both International and Local Codes & Standards
• Knowledge of SPI, AVEVA Instrumentation, SP3D, E3D Databases are essential
• Should have handled at least two Mega / large projects as a Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
• Working knowledge on various Client Standards includes Shell DEP, Chevron Standards etc.
• Field Instrumentation and experience in Control Systems with strong leadership skills & teamwork is a requisite.

About the role

• Responsible for Refinery/ Chemicals facility Mechanical design of greenfield/revamped/retrofit from conceptual stage to detail engineering phase of Medium and large projects.
• Ensure all documentation within the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked (as assigned) in accordance with the Worley Management system for that project.
• Ensure all vendors bids and documentation are reviewed for technical acceptance.
• On case by case basis, to Lead a small team of Mechanical Engineers & designers from Home office and Support office

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide necessary technical assistance to other design groups assigned to project attached
• Communicate and interface with client representatives, other discipline Engineers and HVEC office
• Provide support to inspection activities for equipment or as necessary
• Actively look for value plus items that could be recorded and encourage other team members to do the same

About You

• Minimum of 10 years hands on experience for Basic and Detail Engineering jobs for Chemical/Petrochemical /Refinery/LNG Industries for all types of Static Equipment such as Columns, Pressure vessels, all types of Heat Exchangers, Fired Heaters, API storage Tanks etc.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Core experience related to Refinery, Petro-chemical, Chemical and LNG Static Equipment; Familiar with the Client guidelines/Standards of major petrochemical/refinery companies.
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience with international Codes & Standards like ASME, TEMA, API, AD2000, PD5500 etc. including excellent Code interpretation skill.
