The Role

The role reports directly to the team lead. He or She is responsible for supporting the Professional Engineers on the design and supervision of new erections, addition and alteration (A&A) work to existing buildings, earth retaining and stabilising systems, specialist designs for the facade, glass, demolition works etc, as well as temporary works. The role may also be required to conduct site inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works;
• Prepare design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions;
• Coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects; and
• Supervise and inspect construction works;

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution;
• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills in geotechnical and structural analysis and design work would be an advantage;
• A good knowledge of the application of design and drafting software such as Autocad, Staad Pro, Plaxis, Prota, and Tedds would be an advantage;
• Candidates without working experience are welcome to apply.
• For more senior positions, at least 3 years of design experience for executive engineers and at least 5 years of design experience for senior engineers.
• Passing FEE 1 and FEE 2 are an advantage.

About the role

The job scope includes but will not be limited to:

• Carry out site inspection, site supervision, periodic façade inspection (PFI), periodic structural inspection (PSI);
• Analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works;
• Prepare design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities’ submissions and coordinate with various stakeholders for projects.
• Other ad hoc duties and overseas assignment

Requirements of this role include:

• Diploma / Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution;
• Have the relevant qualifications and experience to apply for RE or RTO.
• Certified Resident Technical Officer / Residential Engineer will have an advantage
• Familiar with CAD and able to draft authority submissions independently
• Preferably with at least 3 years of site experience.
• Fresh graduate who is driven and eager to learn is welcome to apply.
