Purpose

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

Your role will be varied and will include:

• Responsible for all the procurement negotiations for the project and lead the development and implementation of Contracting Strategy and Procurement Plan including the use of appropriate forms for of contract and compensation models Provide inputs related to Contracting and Procurement timelines to the overall Project schedule. About you?

Key Responsibilities:

Operations

• Adhere to cGMP and safety requirements
• Ensure good housekeeping of associated production facilities so that they are kept in good operational order

• To provide guidance and support to new joiner ensuring his/her smooth transition to the new environment
• To develop oneself as a process SME
• Guide junior employees to ensure knowledge transfer for business continuity.
• Conduct classroom and on-the-job (OJT) training as assigned.

Quality

• Comply with all relevant SOP/Batch record requirements.
• Perform timely review of documentation and make necessary corrections.
• Have good quality mindset and integrity to ensure products are manufactured with the highest quality
• Participate in deviation investigation process (Process, Environmental, Maintenance/Equipment, QC) and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)

Reporting/Documentation

• Operate key computer applications related to production function
• Ensure that batch record, checklist and logbooks are correctly recorded, cGMP complied and maintained
• Maintain clear communication with N+1 and fellow colleagues, providing clear feedback of any items pertaining to safety, quality and efficiency
• Participation in development and generation of production checklist, SOPs, validation protocols and the regular review and updates of these documents
• Perform VS review of completed documentation to ensure adherence to GDP
• To lead design/drafting of working instruction to ensure that it is user friendly to improve GDP

Technology Transfer

• Participate in new technology and/or new process transfer

Security/Safety/Environment

• Awareness and adherence to site safety procedure.
• Ensure safe operations on the field
• Identify and report all potential safety issues (personal protection requirement, equipment protection, way of working etc).

Basic Qualifications:

• Min diploma in chemical technology, chemical engineering or biotechnology engineering
• Min 2 years of experience in Biologics, Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in working with GMP
• Familiar with purification/fermentation/conjugation/isolator operations/material and buffer operations

To supervise, execute and monitor the activities within the value stream to ensure reliable and optimal operation of processes, equipment, utility and facility so as to achieve target production levels within the framework of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), quality, safety, occupational hygiene and environment protection.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate with the relevant parties and contribute to the development of the monthly production schedule to enable timely material support to production, and to optimize the production of bulk drug substances so as to minimize holding costs of intermediate goods.

• Prepare documents relating to manufacturing, plant turnaround, Work Instructions (WI), Local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training manual to ensure that updated documents exist to support the activities of the operations department, schedule plan orders, and materials assignment. Documentation should comply to Data Integrity requirements and adherence to ALCOA principles.
• Provide inputs to Periodic Product Review, Computer System Review and Cleaning Validation Review, Engineering Technical Review.
• Support the Production Manager in new product introduction or plant trials and prepare and complete all necessary documents related to plant trial within the stipulated timeline.
• Participate in the qualification works at OQ and PQ phases.
• Provide M-ERP Support as BPE if assigned.
• Raise and coordinate change control implementation and follow up on closure of change control.
• Ensure availability of equipment, tools, production consumables, transfer of input materials as part of campaign preparation and follow up on ensuring housekeeping of above upon campaign ending.

Purpose

The successful candidate is to maintain and repair all mechanical and rotating equipment. Keep all equipment in the best operating condition and minimizing equipment breakdown and optimizing cost.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Engineering: Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems.
• Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process.

Purpose

To manage a team of technicians/junior staff in a specific engineering discipline (Instrumentation) to ensure timely implementation of projects and plant availability at all times.

Purpose

Act as the site microbiology subject matter expert; provide microbiologist expertise and develop monitoring strategy and operation framework.

Ensure that all site utilities, water, environmental monitoring and product testing activities are properly analysed and executed, and the results recorded in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and regulatory requirements that meet the defined quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all water, environmental monitoring, site utilities and product testing samples are analysed and tested according to the stipulated quality requirements so as to provide accurate test results for correct usage decisions. Develops a strategy for the site with respect to environmental monitoring and water systems. Perform microbiological risk assessment for all non-sterile products.
• Work with relevant functions to support method validation / verification for micro related methods, ensuring that the activities are carried out in accordance to the required standards and procedures.
• Ensures that external service providers and suppliers for microbiology laboratory are managed in accordance to GSK requirements.

Purpose

• Monitor and manage the defined utility system to ensure constant and reliable utility supply to the plant at all times so as to minimize disruption to the production process.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Min bachelor’s degree in instrumentation & control or electrical engineering
• Min 5 years of instrumentation & control experience in pharmaceutical industry or oil & gas industry
• Experience in Batch Control ISA-88 and Delta V system
• Experience in SIL calculation and TMR system (Honeywell Safety Manager) will be added advantage
• Experience in the Siemen PLC system
• Good understanding of local codes and requirements
• Familiar and understanding of GSK Global Engineering Standard (GES) and understanding of industrial standards
• Basic commercial knowledge & project management skills
• Effective communication & Operational Excellence skills

The incumbent operates all equipment and facilities in his assigned area safely and efficiently. He works closely in a team and within the framework of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Performs batch / unit or ancillary operations safely and efficiently following standard operating procedures and as necessary, leads technicians in unit operations. Takes in process samples and carries out checks using analytical instruments.
• Do routine mechanical and lubrication checks and where required, carries out early maintenance and repair using hand tools.
• Performs materials handling and movement using hand-pallet trucks, forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Ensures that batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and complied. Follows Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles when executing instructions and recording data, and adheres to Document Error management procedures if document error is observed.
• Communicates clearly with his supervisors and colleagues and at the end of his shift, hand-over to the following shift technicians highlighting production status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Do engineering-related work with technicians during process runs, plant configuration during the campaign change over or maintenance using handtools. E.g.: filters change, equipment replacement and other plant-care type engineering work. Prepares plant and equipment for engineering maintenance.
• Inspects and maintains house-keeping of his assigned area for clean and safe working conditions as well as ensuring that personal protection equipment, safety and fire-fighting equipment are maintained ready for use.
• Carries out fire fighting / first-aid duties as assigned and trained.
• Carries out other related duties as assigned by the Shift Team Leader /Shift Production Leader.
• Initiate, encourage and implement Lean Sigma activities and implement JDI projects that lead to reduce overall cost and improve cost effectiveness e.g. improve equipment reliability, standardization, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Diploma certificate from Polytechnic
• Holder of ITC / NTC 2 or NTC 3 with some experience in related field
• Familiar with good manufacturing practices, safety procedures
• Trouble shooting skill
• Basic awareness of industrial standards
• Able to work in a fast pace environment
• Good knowledge in maintenance and operating principles of production
• Good communications skills
