Assistant Foreman

Job Description & Requirements

Main Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible to manage the assigned site project safely, effectively and efficiency to meeting business needs.
• To plan, coordinate, monitor and review material and manpower usage allocated for the assigned site.
• Monitor, control and coordinate site work with the operations team as well as contracto
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality & safety plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications.
• Assist the structural manager to coordinate the cross-construction cooperation of various construction teams and professional subcontracts.
• Participate into the daily project safety management.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience •

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee site works and activities, provide overall leadership to the project team(s).
• Contribute, Monitoring site and management expertise to the ongoing and tender projects, cost evaluation and budgetary cost control
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedule and cost control.
• Exercise timely instructions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at construction project sites.
• Liaise closely with clients, consultants, relevant authorities and developers in resolving site issues and authorities’ compliances issues to avoid discrepancies.
• Review manpower planning and monitoring of work schedules to ensure orderly delegation of jobs and smooth operation.
• Perform cost management to manage projects within approved budgets, include materials, manpower and machinery cost control for new and running projects, ensure monthly progress report is prepared on timely manner.
• Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site and to ensure Environment, Safety & Health (EHS) practices are carried out at all time and identify high risks safety hazard activities before construction and approval of Method Statement
• Performs tender adjudication on tender awards put up by Project teams as part of due diligence to ensure prices are competitive and all transactions are done above board with proper justification - to safeguard the company against any possible loss of profits, reputation, etc.
• Conduct analysis and review of tender costings by project tender teams to ensure that all potential risk, specified requirement were adequately addressed and provided for
• To ensure that a Project BIM Execution Plan is formulated in accordance to Corporate BIM Execution Plan and monitor the implementation.
• Conduct regular site progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• To perform any other ah-hoc duties as and when assigned.

• - Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents and raise queries for clarification
• - Source for quotations from subcontractors/suppliers, assist with evaluation and comparison for the received quotations and produce quantity measurement within the targeted timeline

Job Requirements

• - Highly motivated, and self-driven with an initiative to work independently. Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• - Good negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and a team player
• - Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
• - Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• - At least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• - Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD
• Working location: Our site at Outram Park MRT, 5 1/2 days a week

Operate Tower crane as per the deployment schedule/work order assigned by the Operations Manager /Executive /Supervisors

Must be willing to work long working hours.
