The Design Client Director is accountable for client services excellence in the design and branding space and oversees flawless execution and project management, team development, and growth through existing and new clients.
Project/Financial Management
• Possess niche expertise and experience in 3D printing, sampling and prototypes and ability to act as a functional leader in executing projects with clients using industry lingo and precise skillsets.
• Ability to be hands-on with the client by presenting and capturing changes with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the industry working with clients in Aisa particularly in India. Must possess the ability to speak, read, write and present professionally in Hindi language with strong understanding of cultural nuances. You will liaise with our FMCG clients in India on a daily basis.
• Proficient in financial modelling and analysis tools to create accurate financial and business development reports and documents in producing design and branding artwork.
• Proven experience in owning complex project budget and able to apply financial making key decisions which directly impact the company’s profits.
• Proven track record of presenting strategies, creative work, budget to clients at C level: CEOs, CMOs, Head of Design.
• Minimum 8 years in leading a team of people to create and produce branding and design collaterals and along with that team, ensures that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on scope
• Leads client relationships with the emphasis on driving revenue growth, both from existing relationships and as a partner on new business development.
• Participates in internal reviews and work sessions, evaluating the deliverables through the lenses of the client brief and expectations.
• Coaches and teaches project management and budget management skills to team members and holds them accountable for flawless project management for all workstreams.
Strategic Thinking
• Proven track record of working closely with Strategic Planners and CEOs on brand strategies, brand purpose, vision and mission, and brand guidelines.
• Partners with other teams leads to conceptualization and develop strategic opportunities.
• Leads and facilitates brand discussions, client workshops, brainstorms and development of strategic and creative deliverables.
Business Development and Client Relationships
• Experience in delivering agreed-upon revenue and growth targets withing the design production space.
• Experience in creating new business growth opportunities wiring Beauty, FMCG, Alcohol industries and aligning the clients’ business challenges to our capabilities.
• Nurture and lead revenue growth within existing client relationships and understands how our services and competitive advantages can open doors to new opportunities.
• Proactively identifies and create new business development opportunities with existing clients by upselling other creative services.
• Is comfortable interacting with clients at the highest level: key relationships are Chief Marketing officers, Head of Design, Head of brands, ...
• Has a deep understanding of the client’s organization and business needswithing the design space and establishes himself/herself as a trusted advisor to the client.
People/Team
• Responsible for inspiring and motivating design project teams.
• Knows when/how to escalate issues and involve top level management (CS, Creative, Production)
• Provides mentoring and on-the-job training for his team. Recognizes under-performing team members and takes applicable action to help them find their way to success.
• Shares accolades with the team and appropriately buffers client negativity.
• Support other client services team members and other internal functions teams if/when needed
