Pros: I've found my immediate team to be pretty supportive as a Software Engineer. The hybrid model works okay for me; I get to be in the Austin office a couple of days a week and WFH the rest. There's a decent focus on collaborative problem-solving within smaller project teams.
Cons: There's often a disconnect between leadership and the engineering teams. Decision-making can be really slow, which sometimes affects how we feel about working in the tech industry here. The overall company culture feels a bit too 'corporate' at times, which can stifle innovation.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between upper management and individual contributors more effectively. Faster decision-making would really help boost morale and improve the general company culture, especially for us in software development.

Pros: As a Software Engineer, I've felt pretty secure. This mid-sized tech company has consistent project work, so there's rarely a slow period. It's stable for senior folks, which is a big plus in the tech industry.
Cons: Junior roles might not feel as secure; I've seen some turnover for entry-level positions in the Dallas office. Project-based work can sometimes make you wonder about future assignments, but it usually pans out. Career progression isn't always transparent.
Advice to Management: Give more clarity on career paths, especially for individual contributors. Improve communication during transitions between large projects.
