Solid Experience with Iconic Brands
Pros: The best part about working at Mars is definitely the brand recognition and the stability that comes with being a global leader in the CPG industry. I enjoyed being part of teams that launched innovative campaigns for well-loved products. There's a genuine sense of camaraderie among colleagues, and many people stay with the company for a long time, which speaks to the overall positive environment and opportunities for advancement.
Cons: While flexibility is decent, sometimes the fast-paced nature of product launches means late nights are unavoidable, impacting work-life balance occasionally. Communication between departments could also be more streamlined, leading to occasional project delays. It's a big company, and sometimes you can feel like a small cog in a very large machine, which can be a bit demotivating for individual contributions.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster cross-departmental collaboration and transparency. Investing in tools or processes that improve internal communication will enhance efficiency and employee engagement further.

Great Place to Develop Your Marketing Career
Pros: The best part about working at Mars is the supportive environment and the chance to work on well-known brands in the consumer goods space. My colleagues are fantastic, always willing to help out, and there's a strong emphasis on collaboration. I've had tons of learning opportunities through various projects, which has really helped my marketing skills. The job security here is also a big plus, and the hybrid work arrangement offers decent flexibility.
Cons: Sometimes, the approval processes can feel a bit slow, especially on larger campaigns, which can be a little frustrating. Also, while there are many opportunities, career progression might not always be as fast-paced as in smaller, faster-moving companies. You really have to advocate for yourself to move up.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining some of the internal approval processes to help teams move faster on projects. Also, consider more structured career progression paths to help associates see clear opportunities for advancement within the company.

Solid Pay, Great Culture, and Room to Grow in CPG
Pros: The pay and benefits package for Brand Managers in this CPG firm is excellent, truly competitive with great health and retirement plans. The company culture is very collaborative, and colleagues are supportive. I've had solid learning opportunities and appreciate the job stability. It's a good place for professional development.
Cons: While there are paths for career growth, the promotion process can feel a bit slow at times. Also, communication between different business units could be more consistent.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the supportive culture and perhaps explore ways to streamline the internal promotion process and inter-departmental communication to further empower associates.
