Pros: The culture at FDM Group is genuinely supportive and collaborative, fantastic for anyone in the IT consulting industry. As a Business Architect, I've worked on varied client projects across the London Area, significantly boosting my experience and skill set. There's a strong emphasis on continuous learning, with access to training resources to expand technical and soft skills. Internal FDM teams are always ready to help, creating a great sense of community and teamwork, even on client sites.
Cons: While the company culture is generally excellent, sometimes internal communication regarding career progression paths or company-wide initiatives could be a bit clearer, especially for consultants deployed as a Business Architect. The workload can sometimes fluctuate quite a bit between projects, and it can be challenging to maintain consistent work-life balance during peak periods. Reviewing approval processes for certain client-related decisions might also streamline operations, improving
Advice to Management: Continue to invest in clear communication channels for career development and internal opportunities, especially for consultants who are often on client sites. Exploring ways to better balance project workloads and streamline administrative processes could further enhance the employee experience.

Pros: The biggest pro for me has been the intensive, high-quality training. As a Software Engineering Graduate, I gained practical skills in various tech stacks that directly apply to client projects in the IT consulting field. The overall pay and benefits package is fair and stable, providing a good foundation during the initial training in Hong Kong. Speaking Cantonese has also been a clear advantage in securing good local projects. I appreciate being paid while learning cutting-edge technologies
Cons: While the pay is reasonable for a graduate programme that includes so much upfront training, it might not always match the highest starting salaries offered by some direct-hire roles at large tech firms. The general benefits package is solid but fairly standard, without a lot of extra perks that you might find at some other companies. There's also some variability in project assignments post-training, which can make planning a bit tricky at times, though this is common in IT consulting.
Advice to Management: Continue to prioritize and enhance the technical training for the Software Engineering Graduate Programme; it truly equips us well. Explore tiered benefits or performance-based incentives for consultants post-deployment. Clearer communication on future roles and salary progression in the

Pros: The compensation package at FDM Group, considering it's an entry point into IT consulting, is competitive for a global firm. The basic salary for a Portfolio Manager in London provides a comfortable living, and the benefits include a good pension scheme and health coverage. I particularly appreciated the structured career progression pathways, which, while not always leading to massive immediate pay jumps, clearly outline what's needed for advancement. The training resources are also a
Cons: While the initial compensation and benefits are fair, there can be a slight lag in salary reviews compared to market rate, especially once you've gained significant experience. For a Portfolio Manager, this can mean needing to push a bit more for quicker adjustments. The bonus structure, while present, isn't always transparent or substantial enough to truly reflect exceptional performance, which could be an area for improvement.
Advice to Management: To FDM Group management, consider refining the bonus scheme to be more transparent and directly tied to individual and portfolio performance for roles like Portfolio Manager. Also, review salary bands more frequently to ensure they remain competitive with the broader IT consulting market in London,
