About Bright Edge Bright Edge General Contractor is a Chicago-area general contracting company specializing in commercial and residential construction. Our services include restaurant, café, gas station and convenience store build-outs and remodeling, as well as residential kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeling. We are seeking a reliable and experienced full-stack web developer to take ongoing responsibility for maintaining, improving and expanding our company website. The successful candidate will support both front-end and back-end needs while helping the website generate more qualified customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the existing Bright Edge website.
- Improve website design, layout, navigation and overall user experience.
- Maintain and enhance front-end functionality and mobile responsiveness.
- Manage and improve back-end functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website errors, broken pages, form problems and other technical issues.
- Improve website speed, performance and Core Web Vitals.
- Maintain website security, backups, software, plugins and updates.
- Create landing pages for specific services and marketing campaigns.
- Add and organize project photos, completed projects, testimonials and portfolio content.
- Improve contact forms and lead-generation functionality.
- Integrate forms with email, CRM or other lead-management systems when required.
- Implement technical and on-page SEO improvements, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, schema and URL structure.
- Work with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other tracking tools.
- Support Google Ads landing pages and conversion tracking.
- Recommend improvements that can increase qualified leads and customer inquiries.
- Use backups and staging to test updates without disrupting the live website.
