Job Summary

HCSC is recruiting for a leader of our AI Innovation Lab. The Lab is tasked with exploration of cutting-edge AI technology (notably, generative AI), and helping HCSC realize value through application to practical business problems. The Senior Director will be responsible for executing proof-of-concept exercises, scaling solutions to meet business needs, and managing collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders. This role is situated within the Data Science & AI Solutions team at HCSC, the central hub of data science work within the organization.

Required Job Qualifications:

In this First-Line Supervisory position, you will be supervising the analysis of Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) data and product production in accordance with the Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) process, which supports CBP analytical intelligence needs. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Researching and collection operations; collection activities; projects requirements; requirements and requests for information of imagery; planning and directing imagery collection, production, dissemination, and analysis.

Position responsibilities as both the Director, U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI) and as the Chief Psychologist of the U.S. Army. ARI is the Science & Technology (S&T) field activity for the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1. ARI's mission is focused on conducting research and developing innovations in the behavioral and social sciences to shape future personnel policy and programs to optimize the Soldier lifecycle and talent management. As Director of ARI, exercises independent judgment, vision and strategic planning to translate broad Army goals into an integrated, high quality long-term research and development program of unusually broad scope. Provides scientific and strategic leadership for a geographically distributed organization comprised of PhD level research psychologists and contracted research activities in industry and academia. As Senior Responsible Official (SRO), independently leads and manages all budgeting, program, and business operations and ensures ARI meets oversight and auditing requirements. As Chief Psychologist serves as the Army's senior behavioral and social science expert, consulting with and advising senior Army leaders, and with other Service, academic, and international activities.

• Serves as a member of the Forest Service Research Executive Team, and as such is responsible for providing national leadership to comprehensive scientific programs.

The Associate Director for Research, Collections, and Curatorial Affairs provides overall curatorial voice, input, and executive level advice to the Director of the Museum. The incumbent will also provide executive leadership and direction in the overall planning, development and implementation of all programs, policies, and priorities of the Research, Collections, and Curatorial Affairs Directorate. Determines and establishes the direction and emphasis for all scientific and historical research and collections care conducted at the NASM.

Directs and coordinates the efforts of curators, scientists, archivists, conservators, museum specialists, and other Directorate staff to ensure that a high quality of performance is maintained and that subordinate supervisors are executing their duties effectively. Keeps apprised of disciplinary or other employee relation issues involving key subordinates.
