This is considered an intermediate to advanced level Surveyor position.

Primary function is to examine and report on vessels and other marine structures during and after construction relative to compliance with the applicable requirements for maintaining the vessel in Classification with ABS and meeting associated statutory and special service requirements related to Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear, and Pollution Prevention Certification.

When necessary, responsible for the administration of office procedures and monitoring of business performance at an assigned port.

Job Duties/Roles

1. Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles and processes.

2. Performs routine surveys on classed vessels, platforms or other marine structures and at manufacturers for classification and compliance with statutory requirements.

3. Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed.

4. Engages in contact with clients to resolve problems within area of expertise.

5. Maintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in area of responsibility.

6. Maintains active awareness of new methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities and makes recommendations for changes in the surveying processes and safety programs as warranted by such developments. Recommends new approaches to problems encountered and makes changes in methods, procedures or design where necessary.

7. Plans, schedules and coordinates various phases of surveying work and monitoring the quality of service on work performed.

8. Monitors work and projects performed by subordinate surveyors to ensure maintenance of quality, content, consistency and continuity of work performed.

9. Provides leadership, guidance and training to lower level and/or less experienced surveyors.

10. Promotes the services and capabilities of ABS to present and potential customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)

1. Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.

2. Ability to read engineering plans and have a basic understanding of shipbuilding practices and vessel operations.

3. Ability to perform surveys in the prescribed format.

4. Knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities.

5. Knowledge of related technical interfaces required for group project work.

6. Knowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery.

7. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, pertinent information relative to assigned area of technical expertise.

8. Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions.

11. Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

Minimum years of Experience

1. Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as a Senior Surveyor.

2. Comprehensive understanding of ABS strategic technical positioning in their respective sector of the marine industry

3. International assignment or significant exposure to international processes, requirements, business issues and problem resolution.

Required/Preferred Education Requirements

1. Qualifications from a tertiary institution within a relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum two (2) years program); or

2. Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience as a certificated ship officer, and

3. Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of statutory certification and services and, before assignment, with their future work.

4. Minimum requirements & knowledge listed for Senior Surveyor II.

Required/Preferred Professional Requirements

Appropriate certification and/or licenses in area of specialization as may be required.

Functional Competencies:

• Undertake classification / certification and statutory surveys and inspections of ships-in-service according to rules and regulations.
• Carry out ISM/ISPS/MLC audits
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensure all survey / inspection reports (including survey certificates) are factual, objective and submitted within the stipulated format and timeframe.
• Keep up to date with new rules, regulations and technical information or process disseminated through internal communication.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or Certificate of Competency 1.
• Minimum 3 years relevant working experience as full fledge Marine surveyor in a classification society; or 6 years seafaring experience as foreign going engineer; or 8 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent.
• Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license
• Able to travel at short notice and accept short to mid-term overseas assignments as required.

For Sewage and Drainage Pipe Jacking Project：

1. work in SG, Indonesia, HK;

2. 5years above site supervision and overall management experiences ;

3. Able to plan, design concept, organize resources for these projects.

4. Able to add value for the projects through design concept, machine selection, manpower allocation, good schedule and planning.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business user and software/system architect.
• Gather and analyze requirement from stake holder, including business requirement document.
• Conduct technical feasibility study, analysis requirement specifications to design and architect solutions including developing proof of concepts.
• Translate business requirement into documented technical and data design specification.
• Perform code development, involve in code review, user acceptance testing and sign off.
• Perform implementation, provide post-implementation maintenance support and fine tuning.

Requirements:

• Possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology (IT,Design) or equivalent.
• Proficient experience with programming language in VB,C# ASP.Net and/or Android, IOS.
• Good HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap responsive web and mobile design.

Job Summary

This incumbent is accountable for the completion of construction work in a timely and profitable manner consistent with project objectives and within budget.

He is overall responsible to oversee all construction activities with respect to schedule, performance, procedure, and making recommendations to Project Managers for improvements and corrective actions. Role Description (Primary)

This is a full-time role for a Deputy Construction Department Manager. The Deputy Department Manager will work closely with the Construction Department Manager, Engineering Manager and other engineering disciplines to strengthen the construction team and participate in management reviews and other administrative activities as well as project specific activities such as construction planning and cost estimation, proposal preparation, and manhour planning in the bidding and tendering phase. Purchasing Department

• Responsible to create Purchase Requisition
• Task to distribute the created Purchase Orders to vendors / supplies via fax or email
• To ensure timely creation and accuracy of data
• Maintain the proper filling and document control for all processes
• Ensure safety practices and housekeeping is to maintained to the highest standard
• To perform ad-hoc duties as per assigned

Accounts Department

• Maintenance of invoices i.e. scanning, updating and posting of invoices in system
