About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in building, deploying, and automating cloud infrastructure and software releases. This role involves supporting cloud applications across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, and implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud-native infrastructures, utilizing tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift. They will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to translate requirements into high-quality, automated cloud solutions that support our clients’ operational needs. The role also requires troubleshooting infrastructure issues, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- At least 4+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related fields
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Terragrunt
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with cloud security practices and tools such as KMS, Lambda, and security protocols
- Active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI) and a polygraph (CIP)
- Required certifications: Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC
- Experience with Rancher, Elastic, and other cloud management tools
- Knowledge of protocols like JSON and XML, frameworks such as OWASP, and DevSecOps principles
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields; cloud certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or MCSE – Cloud Platform
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
- Manage and administer cloud environments using tools such as Rancher and Elastic
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Terragrunt, and related tools
- Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability
- Support and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure at the node and pod level, resolving issues promptly
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, execution, and review sessions to ensure timely delivery of features
- Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring security, scalability, and performance standards are met
- Implement security best practices, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management
- Maintain proficiency with Linux OS, scripting, and cloud command-line tools
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments
