emagine is looking for a Senior Android developer for one of our banking clients for their office in Finland,
Start: 2026-10-08
End: 2027-03-31 (extension possible)
Location: Helsinki, 2-3 days/week at the office
About the role:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Lead and contribute to the modernization of existing applications by migrating legacy View-based UI implementations to Compose
- Refactor and update custom-built UI components to align with companies standardized design system and UI component libraries
- Drive frontend engineering best practices, promoting maintainable, scalable, and reusable mobile solutions
- Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Espresso and contribute to improving overall test automation coverage
- Create and maintain unit tests and other verification activities to ensure application quality and reliability
- Participate in feature design, implementation, testing, release activities, and ongoing maintenance
- Analyse application behaviour, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvements to performance, stability, and user experience
- Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, QA engineers, architects, and business experts to deliver customer-centric mobile solutions
