About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Go to join our innovative tech team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for our prominent digital platforms, including spiegel.de, manager-magazin.de, and 11freunde.de. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, editorial staff, and IT specialists to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the overall architecture, ensuring scalability and stability, and contributing to the continuous evolution of our platform. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor and knowledge resource within the team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in web backend development, particularly with Go. A solid understanding of system architecture, including interfaces, data flows, scalability, and operational stability, is essential. Experience with cloud environments, Docker, and Kubernetes is required, demonstrating your ability to manage web applications in dynamic, distributed systems. A background in cloud operations, along with openness to emerging trends such as artificial intelligence and agentic development, will be highly valued. Candidates should possess a degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification that provides a strong foundation in backend development. Proficiency in both German and English is necessary to facilitate effective communication within our international team.
