Responsibilities
• Analyse product requirements and identify testable behaviours and risks
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests
• Prepare reusable test data, test cases, and execution notes
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected results, and evidence
• Verify fixes and assess related areas for regression risk
• Test APIs and web workflows across supported environments
• Collaborate with developers to investigate failures and improve testability
• Add or maintain basic automated tests and quality checks in delivery workflows
Qualification
Required
• Understanding of software development and testing fundamentals
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and attention to detail
• Ability to write clear technical notes and defect reports
• Ability to learn tools quickly and collaborate in a remote engineering team
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work environment in Canada
Preferred
• Exposure to Python, JavaScript, Java, or a similar language
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or API testing
• Coursework, projects, or internships involving CI/CD and automated testing
