About the Role
In this role, you will help build and maintain the digital tools that our clients use to track their business. Most of our work involves internal sites, documentation hubs, and simple dashboards. You will work closely with our consultants to turn their project notes into responsive, clean, and fast web pages. This is an entry level role suitable for someone just starting their career in web development. You will learn how to build tools that prioritize utility and clarity over visual flair. Because we are a remote team, you will manage your own tasks and help keep our internal records up to date. The work is steady and focused, with a strong emphasis on getting the details right the first time.
What You Will Do - Build and update responsive web pages using modern HTML and CSS.
- Write clean and simple JavaScript to add functionality to internal client portals.
- Assist in the deployment of updates to our staging and production environments.
- Review code for consistency and ensure it follows our internal guidelines for clear documentation.
- Help troubleshoot basic bugs and navigation issues reported by users.
- Maintain the style guides for various client projects to keep a unified look.
- Draft technical notes for the consulting team to explain how specific site features work.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure that site layouts match the practical needs of the client.
What We Need From You - Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Some exposure to modern front end libraries or frameworks.
- A preference for simple and functional design over complex visual effects.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to write clearly in English to explain technical concepts to non technical peers.

This is a permanent, full-time remote position. The legal employer for this role is Olive Tree Consulting, based in Italy. While the role supports our current client activities in Belgium, you may work from any location. We operate primarily during Central European Time and expect a significant overlap with these hours.
