Description
In this role, you will work closely with the regional teams to define, build and enhance the Precision supply road map in a way that provides consistent benefits while meeting unique market needs across APAC. In particular, your role requires a strong relationship with Publicis Media’s regional and local investment & commercial teams to manage supply partnership – strategically and commercially – including opportunity assessment, proposal management, negotiations and commercial awareness. You will vet new opportunities & innovative solutions, maintain & grow existing relationships on the supply side, and develop new business plans to enhance existing & develop emerging supply solutions that are commercially viable.
You will collaborate with Precision leadership – globally, regionally and at market level – as well as internal departments across the Publicis Media Groupe, including:
- Investment – structuring and managing inventory partnerships
- Agencies – educating, gathering feedback, and developing/ sourcing solutions for agency and client needs
- Finance & Legal – collaborate and provide digital and tech expertise when negotiating for new or existing contracts
- Leadership – helping shape the state and scale of supply solutions supporting business objectives
The ideal candidate will have had technical and commercial exposure to digital media planning & buying agencies, technical and strong supply management knowledge, very strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills and the ability to make clear, concise presentations. Also, an ability to build strong business cases for supply products and being able to program manage the roll out of solutions across markets in APAC is a key to success in this role.
A solid working knowledge of the following is desired: ad exchanges, sell side platforms, demand side platforms, online video, mobile media, ad operations / ad-serving systems and verification solutions. In addition to a strong affinity for technology and infrastructure development, a proven commercial awareness is a plus.
Responsibilities
Supply management
- Identify commercially viable key supply partners and solutions – globally and regionally – that allow for a strong differentiation of our positioning in an increasingly cluttered marketplace
- Work with existing supply side vendors on new product features, roll out and adoption. Explore, meet and test new supply solutions that may fulfill our clients’ needs
- Continuously define client needs and translate needs into opportunities for Precision
- Develop and negotiate supply partnerships to extract maximum media value and unique benefits that are only available to Precision and Publicis Media
- Establish key supply packages and offering catered to clients’ needs and seasonal offering
- Maintain and refine internal supply feedback loop with operations and agencies
Marketing and training
- Build supply marketing and training materials to be rolled out to agencies and regional markets in a systematic way. This may include hosting events with key launch partners, connecting with local markets on a regular basis, or regular email updates
- Conduct monthly supply updates and knowledge share
- Collaborate with Precision client servicing and account management teams to grow and maintain adoption
Team management
- Cultivate a center of operational expertise for Precision in Asia Pacific
- Manage and retain a small team of supply manager(s)
- Recruit the best talent in market
Qualifications
To be a successful candidate, you will be/have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Proven track record of top performance measured against product and supply development, maintenance and growth
- Extensive knowledge of data-driven and programmatic platforms such as DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges as well as DMPs, Social Media Management platforms, DCO tools etc.
- 9+ years in digital media with experience with ability to project manage from start to finish
- Strong commercial experience and negotiation skills is a requirement
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical thinking
- Ability to lead projects independently from start to finish, working with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum
- In-depth understanding of digital advertising landscape from either agency or sales perspective
- Excellent time management / project management skills, with ability to manage detail work and communicate project status effectively to all levels
